Project Insight
DocBox was a project developed for my Interactive Design II class, focusing on creating an interactive digital solution to a FEMA-related issue. After researching FEMA’s six primary areas of aid, I chose to address the challenge of safeguarding vital physical documents during emergencies. Losing these documents can create significant obstacles, particularly when applying for relief aid, as they are often required by relief organizations. To tackle this issue, DocBox was conceptualized to be an app that streamlines the process
of scanning and organizing important family documents using integrated AI, enabling users to digitize large volumes quickly and efficiently. The app also allows secure uploading of these documents to a mobile wallet, simplifying the process of sharing files with relief organizations. Rather than presenting a fully realized app, this portfolio project serves as a UX kit, showcasing the concept through wireframes and design elements that effectively communicate the idea.
